Thunder

I've never been so happy to hear thunder in my life.

Right now it's thundering a bit and sounding rainy. If it does rain, that means it will cool off! Yesterday the 'discomfort index' was the highest it's been all year. It was probably around 100 F plus the humidity was ultra high, and in our apartment it's been 90. Plus it hardly ever thunders here, which is a big change from the Midwestern electrical storms that roll in during the summers, so the stormy weather is a little comforting.

Last week we discovered a Turkish food stand at the food court of Timeworld Galleria, a huge department store/mall. Actually, we'd heard rumors about it, but we'd never taken the time to check it out. As it turns out, the rumors were true--you can get these amazing wraps with spicy pork and veggies. There's not much food in Daejeon other than Korean and chains like TGIFriday's, and one thing we really miss is Mexican, Indian, and Thai food (ok, so that's three things, but whatever). So this morning we walked back to Timeworld and ate some wraps and then some Baskin Robbins ice cream. I can't tell you how good those wraps tasted!

Now if it would just rain, it would be the perfect Saturday.
