Sweet Dreams (of Green Tea)
When we first arrived, our apartment had a bed, an armoire, and a table and two chairs. Period. Except the bed included a "sheet" (a flat velour sheet) and cover and two small, hard pillows. I removed some of the stuffing from the pillows and they were a little more comfortable, but eventually we decided to get some new pillows.
I opted for the normal route--a down- and feather-filled pillow that smells slightly of ducks but with the pillowcase on, you can't smell a thing. Joel, on the other hand, decided to try something new: the green tea pillow. What's a green tea pillow? you might ask. (Joel wondered the same thing, but that didn't stop him from buying it!)

As you can see, there's a dent in the middle for the head. Here's where it gets really special, though: See how it's a little darker around the dent? That, my friends, is dried green tea leaves. Yes, that's right, the green tea pillow has actual green tea in it! This gives the pillow a slight herbal, sweet smell, which I think is better than duck feathers, but Joel doesn't really like it so we'll probably end up trading. Sweet dreams indeed!
